In the first of three brief accounts, Lola Sepúlveda of the Centro de Documentación sobre Zapatismo shares the pre-history of the EZLN, that is, the peasant organizing prior to the uprising.

Critical thinking is not only a theoretical position. It is, above all, an ethical position in the face of knowledge and reality.”
