In the framework of the agreements reached at the Third National Assembly for Water and Life, held in the town of San Gregorio Atlapulco, Xochimilco, CDMX, we, the peoples, neighborhoods, organizations, networks, collectives and communities that compose it, declare:
That the war we face throughout all national territory, is directed and executed by Andrés Manuel López Obrador, “Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces” and head of the Federal Executive, with the objective, to guarantee and safeguard the interests of big capital, the interests of the holders of power and money, and the impunity with which the Mexican narco-State operates. The uses of arms are to impose the dispossession of water through national, state or municipal institutions; manipulation, fear, division, privatization, commercialization, municipalization and remunicipalization, concessions that privilege private companies and industry, the co-optation of community water committees, and plans and programs of territorial reordering; all of these are the justification for dispossessing us of the vital liquid.
The State, in complicity and with impunity along with transnational corporations, is the main actor that promotes the dispossession of water and implements the war against our Peoples. This war that we live is against life in all territories, manifesting itself in hundreds of thousands of political prisoners and through militarization, persecution and assassination of territorial defenders, disappearances, femicides, transfeminicides and a multiplicity of hate crimes against the LGBTQ+ community.
Given this situation, the peoples, neighborhoods, organizations, networks, collectives and communities gathered in the Third National Assembly for Water and Life announce: The beginning of the “National Campaign for Life and Against the War” that, through denunciations, forums, meetings, workshops, mobilizations, etc. will echo the demand for a Stop to the war against the Zapatista peoples, the original peoples and a stop to dispossession, exploitation, contempt and repression; that is, the 4 wheels of capitalism on which this Fourth Transformation runs and which is lived, and suffered, throughout the national territory.
As a first activity, we invite you to participate in the DISLOCATED ACTION AGAINST CONAGUA – National Water Commission – (rally-press conference-cultural event) on Monday, September 25, starting at 10:00 am in front of the CONAGUA offices (Insurgente Sur, 2416).

For the indigenous peoples, water will not be a war, but rather a union for life.
