Mexico City’s Government Attempts to Impose a Cable Bus Project on Their Land
To the peoples of Mexico and the world,
To human rights organizations and collectives,
To the Networks of Resistance and Rebellion,

To Rebellious, Dignified, and Rebellious Europe,
To the free and independent media,
We denounce with outrage that on December 21, 2025, members of the Nahua Community of Milpa Alta were brutally attacked by a shock group operating within the community and led by LUIS LINARES CASTRO, a corrupt pseudo-agricultural leader in that community who has enriched himself by administering for his own benefit the resources and forest brigades of the Altepetl Welfare for the Forest program managed by the Government of Mexico City.
This incident occurred when a large group of community members from the nine villages that make up the Nahua Community of Milpa Alta protested to try to stop a sham consultation that this sinister individual and the Mexico City government had organized in the village of San Francisco Tecoxpa (one of the nine villages that make up the community) in an attempt to impose a cable bus public transport project on the lands of Milpa Alta. During these events, five female community members were brutally beaten by a violent group of men belonging to JOSÉ LUIS LINARES’ forest brigades; similarly, five male community members were also injured, some even suffering fractures.
In light of these outrageous events, which are generating confrontation and violence within the Milpa Alta Community and which originate from the Mexico City Government’s attempt to impose an infrastructure project on the Community’s territory in order to force the dispossession of its communal lands and its forced integration into the urban sprawl; in light of the sham consultations orchestrated by the governments in collusion with local bosses and shock groups serving their interests, WE DEMAND THE IMMEDIATE PUNISHMENT OF JOSÉ LUIS LINARES CASTRO AND HIS SHOCK GROUP, AND ALL GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS INVOLVED IN THE VIOLENT ACTS DENOUNCED ABOVE, AS WELL AS THE CANCELLATION OF THE CABLEBÚS PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION PROJECT ON THE LANDS AND TERRITORIES OF THE MILPA ALTA COMMUNITY.
We call on indigenous peoples, communities in resistance, and conscious society to raise their voices and demand justice for the Nahua Indigenous Community of Milpa Alta because their struggle in defense of Mother Earth is the struggle for life.
