July 5 marks the 3rd annniversary of the murder of maya tsotsil community defender, Simon Pedro. As the family and communities commemorate their loss, they insist that justice has been cut short; while the assassin was convicted, no investigation into the intellectual authors of the political assassination has been pursued.
