Ejido Tila: Former ejido authority and CNI member killed by narco-paramilitaries linked to City Hall
January 12th, Carmen López Lugo, CNI member from Tila, was assassinated by narco- paramilitaries. The spate of violence in the ejido, and ultimately the murder of another land defender, kicks off the election year with familiar tensions.
