The Zapatista Sixth Commission invites the signatories to the Sixth Declaration of the Lacandon Jungle and the Declaration for Life to participate in the semillero (seedbed) to celebrate the resistance and rebellion of the world: “Of Pyramids, Stories, Love, and, of course, Heartbreak.”
On November 2nd, collectives, organizations and individuals denounced State complicity in the legalized dispossession of the Zapatista Support Bases in Dolores Hidalgo. Schools for Chiapas joins others in demanding and end to these attacks, and standing in solidarity within THE COMMONS, a collective practice of sowing memory, justice and liberation.

In compliance with a ruling by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IACHR), a plaque was unveiled at the Law School of the Autonomous University of Chiapas (UNACH) in honor of Antonio González Méndez, a Chol indigenous support base for the Zapatista Army of National Liberation (EZLN) who disappeared in the municipality of Sabanilla on January 18th, 1999.
