This illustration juxtaposes the cycles of life and pollinization with cycles of knowledge sharing. Here, knowledge-as-seed is internalized, and then shared/returned to the earth by the parrot to mature once again into the majestic ceiba of Chiapas, whose seeds develop to begin the cycle anew. The subjects, the red- lored parrot and the ceiba, are both endemic to Chiapas, and have great symbolic significance in the Maya cosmovision.
