Unique Chamulan Doll
Only one – add this unique doll to your collection. Dressed in the traditional style of the Mayan women of Chamula, this handsome doll was handmade by a Zapatista women’s co-operative in Chiapas. The skirt and headpiece are made with homemade wool felt. The skirt is wrapped and pleated in the the way customary for this village. The blouse, called a huipil, is decorated with sparkely bric-a-brac and colorful yarn pompoms adorn the headpiece. A simple face is embroidered on the felt head. This collector’s piece stands 10″ tall and 4″ wide.
