National Guard raids EZLN support base community

With the excuse of verifying a complaint about the existence of “pirate” radio antennas, a convoy of the National Guard (GN), with fifty troops, raided the support base community of the Zapatista Army of National Liberation (EZLN) located in the Huitepec hill, in San Cristóbal de Las Casas. According to the residents’ report, the soldiers arrived in the community aboard five artillery units, went to some of the houses, and detained a resident.
