In December 2026 and January 2027, Zapatista compañeras and compañeros will arrive in Mexico City to continue weaving together encounters, dialogue, organization, and life in community.
To make their trip possible, this fundraising campaign has been launched. It’s worth noting that this isn’t just about raising funds for a trip: it’s about walking alongside a collective journey that originates from territories where autonomy is built every day through struggle, resistance, defiance, and dignity.
The central purpose of this visit will be to meet with the families searching for their disappeared loved ones. Therein lies one of this country’s deepest sorrows and also one of its greatest reserves of dignity: mothers, fathers, daughters, sisters, comrades, and communities who have transformed absence into a search, the search into memory, and memory into a radical way of sustaining life.
The fact that Zapatismo is moving toward this encounter holds enormous power. It arrives as a listening voice, an embrace among organized sorrows, and recognition of those who, from below, continue to confront death—administered with love, stubbornness, and concrete hope.
In times when the world is crumbling under the weight of war, dispossession, and orchestrated death, Zapatismo reminds us once again that the common good is built by walking, listening, organizing, and standing shoulder to shoulder with those who continue to sow life.
Those who can contribute, share, or spread the word about this campaign will be helping to make this gathering possible. Supporting transportation also means sustaining a network of solidarity so that the Zapatista message can reach and embrace the families who seek, name, and refuse to forget.
