Call for an Informative Session on the “Journey-Embrace with Searchers,” December 2026–January 2027.

The Zapatista Sexta Commission invites individuals, groups, collectives, movements, and organizations that adhere to the Sixth Declaration and the Declaration for Life—as well as honest, good-hearted people—

TO THE INFORMATIVE SESSION REGARDING THE ZAPATISTA DELEGATION’S TRIP TO MEXICO CITY, THE MEETINGS WITH “SEARCHERS” (those searching for disappeared loved ones), AND THE COLLECTIVE EMBRACE OF THOSE SEEKING TRUTH AND JUSTICE FOR THEIR MISSING ONES.

This event will take place on October 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, 2026, at CIDECI in San Cristóbal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico, with the following schedule:

.- Arrival on Friday, October 2nd.

.- Informative session on Saturday, October 3rd. This will feature updates from: groups of Searchers wishing to participate in the meetings (Fray Bartolomé de Las Casas Human Rights Center); the “Llegó la Hora” (The Time Has Come) collective regarding trip finances; the Casa Samir Flores Soberanes regarding lodging and meals for the Zapatista delegation and the Searcher groups; those organizing artistic fundraising campaigns; the ‘’Anti-capitalist University Network’’ (Red Universitaria Anticapitalista – RUA) collective regarding the registration of proposed activities for central Mexico (December 2026–January 2027); and various musical groups, collectives, neighborhoods, dancers, and university students (excluding AI, of course) regarding their ongoing activities. It will also include the participation of the Zapatista Sexta Commission, outlining the objectives of the initial leg of the “Journey for Life: Mexico Chapter” tour (EZLN Sixth Commission).

.- Return on Sunday, October 4th.

The information sessions will be broadcast live. Given the expense involved, and due to potential financial, health, work, or family issues, it is recommended that not everyone attend in person; instead, you might send a representative to relay the detailed information. Alternatively, you could ask someone who is attending to pass the information along to you and—during breaks—collect your questions and concerns to raise them at the in-person meeting.

It will, therefore, be a hybrid meeting: both in-person and virtual.

We will soon announce the web address for the live stream.

Advance registration is not required for the in-person session; you may register upon arrival at CIDECI.

That is all for now.
