As winter settles in the North, the light wanes, and the seeds beneath the soil enter their quiet work. Some crack with the frost, some are carried by birds to distant lands, some wait patiently for the return of the sun. And when they finally rise, they grow into trees that endure storms, droughts, and time —offering shade, nourishment, and the seeds of a new cycle.
So it is with the lessons we learn in the living school that is Chiapas. Teachings born from community, resistance, care, and self-critique. Lessons that take root in many geographies —sometimes near, sometimes far— and that blossom in the hearts, projects, and struggles of those who walk with us.
Our work at Schools for Chiapas is to tend this seedbed: to share these teachings, to accompany the communities who defend life, and to extend the classroom so that more people can carry these seeds forward.
As we prepare the ground for a new season, we invite you to help these seeds flourish. Your contribution today sustains education and health projects, supports communities in resistance, and strengthens the weave of our collective work en común.
Wishing you a season of renewal, reflection, and growing strength.
